James Bay Electrifies Wembley in Biggest Show EVER! [13.02.25]

It’s officially been over a week since James Bay electrified London’s Wembley Arena — and it’s safe to say I’m still not over it.

Currently on his Up All Night Tour, James Bay is celebrating his most popular hits and his most recent studio album, Changes All The Time, which was released late last year.
Despite being a staple within the British music scene, James’ most recent gig at Wembley was his biggest to date!
Over the years, he has seamlessly evolved his sound, experimenting with different styles while staying true to his roots of heartfelt songwriting—from certified-platinum record Hold Back The River to his 2022 hit Chew On My Heart.

Supporting the night was Kingfishr, an emerging indie-folk band who formed while studying Electronic and Computer Engineering at university. Having only released their debut single in April 2022, performing at Wembley Arena this early in their career is a remarkable milestone. This opportunity reflects Bay’s commitment to uplifting new artists. Despite his own success, he remains connected to his beginnings, supporting mega-talented artists who haven’t yet fully broken into the industry.

Kingfishr’s indie-folk sound helped introduce James Bay when he took the stage at 8:30 p.m. to thousands of cheers and applause. Beginning with Up All Night, the song that lent its name to the tour, he instantly captured the energy of the crowd and set the tone for an unforgettable evening.

Bay then continued through his setlist, with songs including Us and Sunshine in the Room, after which the 34-year-old heartthrob began to serenade the audience with his beautiful single Let It Go—the track that helped solidify his success.

What the audience didn’t expect was that the one and only Myles Smith was waiting in the wings to join Bay for the song. His silky harmonies, layered over the top of Bay’s vocals, created such a warm, intimate atmosphere, putting beams on the audience’s faces as they heard their favourite singers duet live.

Throughout the night, James Bay continued to encourage the audience to sing along with him, dance, and sway to the songs—making it a night to remember for all involved.

Then it came time to finish, and Bay concluded with an extended version of Best Fake Smile, full of guitar riffs and drum beats that continued for well over five minutes. It was a true joy to watch.

It wasn’t long, though, until the chants began for Bay to return to the stage and perform his encore—Hold Back The River. The whole crowd erupted in cheers, singing back and forth with Bay in a magical exchange.

As the final notes rang out, there was a shared feeling of gratitude between Bay and his fans. Wembley had witnessed something special—a night to celebrate true talent, and all of the hard work Bay has put in over the years to deliver something magical for his fans.

If this performance was anything to go by, James Bay’s Up All Night Tour is set to be one for the books.
