Pop sensation Henry Moodie brought his mood swings tour to Glasgow’s SWG3 earlier last month in support of his debut album mood swings, released 24th October. The album was previewed by hits drunk text and pick up the phone, singles released back in 2023 when Henry first made his mark on the UK music scene. The record is a true reflection of his personal growth and artistic development. It was inevitable that a live performance of the album would be entirely wholesome and special.
Openers Grace Gachot and Aine Dean made their impact on the audience, with the crowd passionately singing along to every word. It was clear that Henry, Aine and Grace’s fans resonate deeply with each other, with the crowd coming together and all raring to go for the entire show. Grace and Aine even made sure to meet up with fans after their sets at the merch stand where tears were shed and hugs exchanged.

Scottish crowds are always ready to party, and this night was no exception with a contagiously buzzing energy roaming throughout the intimate venue. Henry opened the show with title track mood swings, the perfect song for him to have started with. The atmosphere in the crowd was electric.

mood swings is one of those catchy tunes that you start singing along to without realising, and that really showed through the fans who carried such natural passion.
Henry had a jam-packed setlist with him performing 19 songs in total. This featured sunday morning – apt for a Sunday night gig. He also sang fan-favourite track closure, the tear-jerker you were there for me and the classic beat up car. drunk text is a song that, no matter how many times it’s played, always evokes an emotional reaction. The fans proved the sentiment that if you’re not dramatically shouting the lyrics as though you’re living each word, then you’re doing it wrong.

All in all, Henry’s stop at the SWG3 was heartfelt and unforgettable. He has always been a big fan of the Glasgow crowds, and never forgets to play here on his tours. mood swings really is a testament to Henry’s commitment and experiences as an artist, an album that feels like a closure to his previous chapter and this is the real start.

We can’t wait to see Henry back in Glasgow (hopefully soon!) and experience, again, the energy his shows never fail to bring.
