SOAP

Kicking off the night, indie punk/pop band SOAP delivered a high energy, crowd-winning seven song set, opening for Bad Suns.

The band, made up of Ryan Lofthouse (vocals), Josh Lima (guitar), Noah Lima (drums), and Cooper Stout (bass), first appeared on the scene in 2019 as ‘The Tyne’ but later rebranded themselves to ‘SOAP’, and they’ve been on huge support tours since, including The Vamps, and now Bad Suns.

From the first note, the four-piece brought tight guitars, punchy basslines, and crisp drums, all anchored by Ryan’s charismatic presence.

Come Back To You opened with shimmering, jangly energy and a chorus built for crowd singalongs, while Awkward Now truly ignited the room, with fans shouting every word back. They closed their electric set with upcoming single Falling, sure to be a hit when it’s released.

My top 3 songs: Awkward Now, Come Back To You, and Falling.

Bad Suns

Returning to the UK for the first time in years, Bad Suns kicked off their UK and European leg of their Acceleratour at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in explosive fashion. Glasgow welcomed them with deafening cheers, setting the tone for a euphoric, tightly-packed night.

Opening with Slow Karma, Christo Bowman and band immediately locked into slick guitar lines and punchy percussion that filled the intimate venue. Hit followed hit, each met with thunderous singalongs and even a spontaneous “Olay, olay, olay” chant and “Here we f***ing go!”

Hold Your Fire was a standout, soaring with emotional weight in the compact space, while Baby Blue Shades emerged as the fan favourite, complete with a chaotic, hilarious shout from the crowd. The night thrived on those unfiltered, unpredictable moments.

By the time Daft Pretty Boys closed out the night, it felt like a celebration – a powerful reminder of Bad Suns’ hooks, heart, and unwavering bond with their fans.

My top 3 songs: Baby Blue Shades, Why Am I Like This? and Hold Your Fire.
