Back in October, The Royston Club played an excellent headliner at the Manchester Academy.
The North Wales-based band originated in 2019 and now, only 6 years later, they have released their second album and are selling out massive headline tours.
Supporting the night were up-and-coming Manchester natives Arkayla, who have recently released their new EP, titled Don’t Look For Answers, and Coventry band, Feet, who this year have been non stop touring. Both bands set the perfect one for the night and got the crowd warmed up and ready for the night to come.
The crowd chanted loud and clear for The Royston Club to take the stage and when they did, the audience let them know how happy they were about it. The band started their set with a single from their newest album Songs For The Spine and with the first guitar riff of The Patch Where Nothing Grows it was clear that the audience knew what to do.
This energy kept up throughout the entire show, with the crowd bouncing and singing every single word.
The band played a stellar sold out show, and so far are going from strength to strength. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see them in a bigger venue on their next tour!
