Today, French singer-songwriter, Clara Le Bouar shares her dreamy new single, Silver.

Arriving as a warm and sweet love letter to her best friend, Silver is an intimate dose of gorgeous alt-pop, depicting the power of female friendship.

With her weightless, honey-eyed vocals, Clara celebrates the deep, platonic love of sisterhood. The kind that surpasses romantic endeavours, and carries us through heartbreak, milestones, and hardships in one piece.

Sharing more, Clara explained: “Silver is more than just a song. I wrote it for my best friend during one of the hardest times in her life. Through the lyrics, I tried to capture her essence and our journey together. Lines like ‘Pretty girl in the mirror, black lace and silver’ capture how I see her—elegant, resilient, and always adorned with her silver jewelry, a contrast to my gold. To me, she is like silver: luminous, strong, and precious.”

Based in Paris, Clara Le Bouar’s journey into music began as a personal love affair she’d always harboured, but had previously been too timid to pursue. The pull to process her feelings and emotions through songwriting had become second nature, and she quickly accumulated a body of work that was worthy of attention.

After tentatively teasing her music online, she began to accumulate praise, curiosity, and interest from listeners and collaborators. August 2024 saw Clara share her debut EP – Songs – a seven track, journalistic body of work that invited listeners into her emotive world of storytelling. The record introduced Clara’s sound as delicate and tender; weaving romantic soft moments with more melancholic intervals – like flipping through an old journal, or having a deep, late-night conversation.

Despite only launching towards the end of last year, Clara Le Bouar has already pinned herself as an exciting prospect to watch. With her debut single Stupid Song already amassing nearly 200,000 streams on Spotify, she’s nurtured a sound that can effortlessly set on repeat.

With Silver already gaining momentum online ahead of its launch, as people relate to its sentiment, it looks to be a significant moment for the newcomer.

With more music to follow very soon, you should keep an eye on Clara Le Bouar.
