Full of energy, humour, and feel-good music, The Lottery Winners dazzled the O2 Academy Bristol last week, during their Keep on Keeping Tour.
The night was filled with sensational performances, laughter, and their unique sound, creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone in attendance.
This four-piece indie pop band from Manchester, consisting of Thomas Rylance, Katie Lloyd, Robert Lally, and Joe Singleton, has stolen hearts across the nation with their incredible stage presence—and mine is just another to add to the list.

Kicking off the evening, the openers, The Covasettes, brought their upbeat setlist and catchy melodies, getting the crowd warmed up. They were a fantastic choice to open the show. Their laid-back, carefree approach was refreshing, and helped put the audience at ease, allowing everyone to simply enjoy the performance.
Then, walking out to Let Me Entertain You, by Robbie Williams—a perfect fit to describe the performance that lay ahead—The Lottery Winners took to the stage as a wave of excitement and applause filled the room. As Superpower began playing, the crowd instantly started screaming the lyrics back to the band. Looking around the venue from the pit, I saw every face wearing a ginormous smile. The joyfulness surrounding me was something truly special.

One of the standout aspects to the night was how unique they made the show. There was no reading from a pre-prepared script, or pre-planned breaks for crowd interaction. Instead, they relied on their incredibly bubbly and likeable personalities, as well as their great stage presence, to bring their performances to life. Their incredible charm created a sense of intimacy, making it feel as if they were all old friends performing at a local pub, knowing every person in the audience.
Overall, The Lottery Winners are a must-see when it comes to live performance. They kept every member of the crowd engaged from start to finish with their perfectly curated setlist, well-timed jokes, and the infectious energy they brought to the stage.

With their new album, KOKO, set for release on Friday, the 21st of March, I’m sure it will be on repeat in my household all weekend.
