Irish band Cliffords made their way to Glasgow’s legendary King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut last week for an unforgettable gig full of great indie music, from the openers to the main act themselves.
Lead singer Iona Lynch captivated the crowd from the get-go, showcasing incredible musicality and showmanship, while also being conversational with the crowd, telling stories about their songs and the band’s musical journey. The crowd definitely showed up, with it being so packed it was hard to move in King Tut’s!
Something I personally love about the band is how they create their unique indie sound by mixing instruments like a trumpet within, adding more depth.
For Scottish fans looking to hear more of Cliffords, they have just been announced to be playing at next year’s TRNSMT Festival, for is shaping up to be a jam-packed weekend of the best new music.

I have been taking photographs for as long as I can remember, but found a true love and appreciation for photography while studying it at school, and eventually university - at Cambridge School of Art. As an amateur musician myself, I know the focus, anticipation and perseverance involved in performing. This unique perspective allows me to capture the magical essence of live music, bringing each performance to life through my lens.
